Engineering Division's hydraulic pulling machines, the SIMM-PUL units have
pulling capacities of 6 ton and 12 ton. These robust and reliable machines are
suitable for a multitude of applications where loads have to be moved or tension
applied during erection. Originally designed for use in underground workings in
confined areas, the units can be operated from any hydraulic power pack and incorporated
pressure relief valves to prevent overloading, automatic self locking jaws, manually
operated control valves with built-in fail-safe spring return operating lever
allowing safe and infinite operator control.
The units can be held in place by bolting down the Swivel anchor post or by
the use of double leg anchor ropes. SIMM-PUL made a contribution to the construction
of the MILLENNIUM DOME at Greenwich, London where 36 x 6 ton units were used in
the erection of the roof.

Sevalink Chain Cutters have been in use in the Mining Industry since 1976. In
conjunction with the then National Coal Board the 26mm cutter was developed as
an intrinsically safe tool for use at the coal face. Over 1000 units have been
supplied throughout the world for a wide range of applications. As chain size
increased, further models were developed, the 34mm in 1988 and the 46mm in 1996.
Operation of the cutters can be either by a double speed hand pump for the smaller
chain or through the SIMM intensifier from any power source. Safety features include
a pressure relief valve, locking guard and easily replaceable cutter blades.

Wire rope/cable cutters are available in 4 sizes capable of cutting 38, 63, 90,
114mm diameter material. These robust and portable tools incorporate quick release
jaws and toughened steel blades to shear in seconds. The fast double acting cylinder
fitted with quick release couplings can be remotely operated by air, electric,
hydraulic or manual pump. Completing the range of cutters SIMM Sevabolts have
been developed to cut roof/floor bolts of 25mm and 35mm diameter. These portable
tools have a built in carrying handle and can be operated either by hand pump
or through an independent power source. A pressure relief valve is fitted to each
model to prevent overloading.
SIMM Mining products are supported by a quick repair, maintenance and testing
service.
